This was the club's first ever appearance in the Cup Final having only been admitted to the Scottish Football League in 2002. The match ended in a 1-1 draw and went to a penalty shoot-out in which Hearts triumphed 4-2. Townsley played the full match but wore a long sleeved shirt. Gretna continued their rapid rise through the leagues winning promotion to the SPL in 2007, unfortunately the Black and Whites demise was equally as rapid and the club was dissolved in the summer of 2008 due to financial problems Click the banner to get it at ONLY: GBP49.9900
