Comm32 is an ActiveX component (ocx) that Software Developers can add to the tool box of their development environment.

Developers using Visual Basic 6 and many other similar environments such as Office/VBA can use Comm32 to quickly add Serial Communications to software projects in 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 10 and 8/8.1 (Desktop), Windows 7, Vista and XP.

Comm32 has the same property names, methods and syntax as the now unsupported MSComm32 so, in many cases, it takes just a minute or two to add our SComm32 component to a project in place of MSComm without needing to change any of your code or learn any new syntax.
